Facility introduction

On this page, we will provide an overview of the guesthouse’s interior and facilities. We hope that by viewing this information, you can enhance your understanding of what to expect during your stay.

The building is a roughly 65-70-year-old (estimated) two-story traditional Japanese house. Originally, it was a cosmetics store that also served as a souvenir shop, selling products like SHISEIDO cosmetics. Judging from old photos, it seems they also sold camellia oil and other items. Some remnants of the cosmetics store, such as the dressing room and old Shiseido signs, were discovered during renovation. The camellia tree is closely related to Oshima, which may explain the Shiseido connection.

It’s a tranquil setting, with the sounds of ships entering the harbor during the day, making it an ideal place for leisurely activities like reading.
